Policies, Disclosures and Legal

Just so we don't upset the powers that be:

I enjoy blogging about history, but I need to make one thing clear.  I'm not a professional historian.  I'm a history buff who loves writing about history.

Blogging about England's most tempestuous royal family is fun, but this can't be a free gig forever.  This blog will be running ads from Google AdSense, which means that by your clicking on those ads Google pays me a certain sum for each ad clicked.  Per current FCC guidelines, I must disclose this.

I have enabled the gadget to allow you to receive email updates when I post to my blog.  Because my readers' privacy is important to me, and it's nobody else's business really, I do not sell or disclosure my email lists.  I wouldn't know how to do that anyway.

All pictures used in this blog and on my Facebook page are from Creative Commons or are otherwise public domain.

I have allowed full commenting privileges.  You can comment as yourself, chose a handle or comment anonymously.  All I ask is that everyone stay on topic and be respectful.  Use common sense.  No porn, religion or politics, no racist or hateful speech, respect everyone's opinions.

If you have any questions or concerns you can post them in the comments section below.

  1. I liked the story and found the brooch 'as it might have been' intriguing compared to the brooch as discovered.

    Thank you.
